Yoghurt & Apple Sponge Cake

(F) Ingredients:

  • 2 Big Apples (Reineta)
  • 1 Natural yoghurt (125g)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 Cups* of Flour
  • 1 Cup of Chocolate Powder
  • 2 Cups of Sugar
  • 1/2 cup of Olive Oil
  • 1 Baking Powder Packet (16gr) 
  • Some butter to Spread on the mould 

* Cup = Yoghurt pot size

 

(T) How to Prepare the Yoghurt & Apple Cake in Easy Steps!

1. Pour the yoghurt in a small bowl.

2. Warm up the oven 180º for 10 minutes.

3. Add the 2 cups of sugar.

4. Break the the eggs in a plate and wisk them in an energetic way.

5. Add the wisked eggs, the 1/2 cup of oil in the yoghurt bowl and mix the ingredients till the dough is creamy.

6. Place a colander on the bowl and add the baking powder and the 2 cups of flour. This process is called 'Sift'. It helps all the ingredients to be well mixed.

7. Mix all the ingredients.

8. Peel the 2 apples and chop them in small size.

9. Add them with the other ingredients and mix again.

10. Spread butter on the mould. It is better if butter is a little bit melted.

11. Pour the dough into the mould. Set it in a middle place. Bake it 180º for 30 minutes.

12. Poke the sponge cake with a toothpick. If it is clean once you get it out, the Sponge Cake is Ready!

13. Switch off the oven.

14. Place the cake outside and wait!
